Meet Ann

Ann's journey began outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the age of 10, her family relocated to Maryland to support her dad's career in microbiology with the Food and Drug Administration. Growing up, she embodied the values of hard work, integrity and community service from her parents, who were second-generation immigrants and the children of diligent coal miners hailing from upstate Pennsylvania.

A perpetual learner, Ann pursued her interests in public policy, business, and recreation at Radford University in Virginia. She earned a master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation with minors in business administration, social work, and outdoor recreation/team building. Her academic pursuits and awards set the stage for a dynamic career.

In 1987, Ann moved to Kernersville, North Carolina, where she directed aquatic programming for the local YMCA and later applied her degree in Recreation Therapy at a local community hospital. Her professional journey continued to evolve when she was recruited in 1991 to work and lead new programs for a growing social service organization in Chicago, Illinois. Over the next 17 years, Ann carved out a successful career at the state and national levels in public policy and not-for-profit leadership, relocating to Columbia, South Carolina, to serve as Program Director for the Southern Institute on Children and Families, leading Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Covering Kids/Covering Kids and Families National Health Coverage Initiative in all 50 states and DC. and then to Boston, Massachusetts, to become Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ).

In 2008 during a vacation with her aging parents, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea captured Ann's heart.  The town's charm, delicate beaches, unique businesses, and friendly residents inspired her to make a significant life change. Leaving Boston, Ann uprooted herself, reinvented her career, and established roots in LBTS. For the past 16 years, LBTS has become a source of balance and connection and the home of A.W. Marchetti Consulting LLC dba. Ann Marchetti & Co. (www.annmarchetti.com), her consulting firm, is dedicated to empowering a new generation of leaders in capacity development and program delivery. She firmly believes that collaborative solutions enhance sustainability for a brighter, healthier, and more equitable future.

Throughout her entire life and 30+ year career, Ann has been a force for advocacy and change. Her focus on transforming organizations and shifting mindsets has been instrumental in addressing significant issues in business, public health, education, and human services. Known for solving complex issues by building strategic partnerships, she strengthens both individual and collective capacities.
